The 2009 Beta Beta Beta Biology Fall Picnic
The
Biology Department was fortunate for the third year in a row to pick a
beautiful September afternoon in western Pennsylvania for the annual Beta Beta Beta and
Department of Biology Fall Picnic. Over 100 students and
biology faculty members met at the Ski Lodge...the largest crowd ever!! There was a great turnout of
new freshman
biology majors, upperclassmen and faculty. There was more than enough pizza and bread sticks,
hot dogs, cookies, drinks, and more for everyone, and many students and a few
faculty took part in the annual volleyball competition, while others played
other sports games and just enjoyed the sunny afternoon.
Dr. Sigmund introduced the faculty to the freshman and Jessie Rack
presented last year's Tri-Beta professor award to Dr. Beeching.
It was a great opportunity for students and faculty to
interact outside of class, and for the new freshman to meet upperclassmen and
the faculty!
