School-Age Bookworm Club 

Be Creative @ Your Library -- Summer Reading 2009.  It's a world of color and imagination @ the Grove City Community Library as we explore the different ways to be creative this summer. Kids are invited to grab their paints, sketchbooks, and musical instruments this summer during the statewide reading program Be Creative @ Your Library.   Children can sign-up for the summer reading program starting on June 1st. They will get their own reading log, bookmark, a candy treat and book bag so they can keep track of their reading progress.  Incentives are provided for every 10 books read to keep the kids coming back to retrieve more books.

Summer Reading Honor Party -- will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at 6 pm in the Grove City Community Park, Keystone Shelter.  Our guest entertainment for the program will be "Steve Haberman" magician.   Popcorn, cookies and drinks will be provided.   This event is for all family members!

Bookworm Club is for school-age children in grades 1 through 6.   It meets Wednesday mornings from 10:00 - 10:45 am.  The schedule of programs is as follows:

June 17th - Storyteller Vicki Ligner as "Aurora Night Rainbow"
June 24th - County Market "Be creative in the kitchen"
July 1st - Penny Covert from the Children's Theatre Arts Guild ("put on a play in 30 mins!")
July 8th - Mr. Jaskowak from the G.C. Schools will be here for "Music! Music! Music!"
July 15th - The Pottery Dome from Leesburg, PA
July 22nd - Sidewalk Chalk Art Day (everyone gets a chance to help decorate all the sidewalks around the library and the boro building.

June 26 -- "Tales of Despereaux," 5:30 pm
July 10 -- "Bolt," 5:30 pm
July 31 -- "Bedtime Stories," 5:30 pm
