Climate Diagram for Manaus

Manaus (Manáos) is situated on the north side of the Rio Amazonas just below the point where the Rio Negro and Rio Solimões combine. The city has long served as the focus for Brazil's North, a vast region covered largely with tropical rainforest (selva). Significant precipitation falls throughout the year, allowing the broadleafed trees to retain their leaves (making them evergreen as opposed to deciduous).
