Each week you will turn in an assignment connected to the reading due that week. These assignments comprise a crucial part of the course, since they are where you begin to delve into your readings. There is a principle behind them: that reading itself needs to be applied in order for connections to be forged. Their importance is implied in the percentage of the final course grade assigned to them collectively: 40%.
I will hand out sheets each week with the assignments for the next week; they will also be posted here as .pdf files. The assignments should be presented professionally, in MLA style.
