You will present once during term on the topic of the week. The goal of your presentation is to teach the class for between twenty minutes and half an hour. Don't worry about using multimedia or posters or anything of this sort. Concentrate on the way to present your issues orally and via interaction with the class.

Requirements:

  1. You may conduct class however you like: as a mini-lecture, or more as a seminar, depending on whatever you feel comfortable with.
  2. However you conduct it, allow room for interaction and questions with the class during your presentation time.
  3. Include a handout for everyone in the class, professionally presented (MLA format), with the following sections:
    1. a list of the central ideas you want to communicate (a sentence or so for each),
    2. the primary text(s) you are discussing,
    3. an Annotated Bibliography of at least 5 print-based (not web-based) secondary sources which students might use if they wish to pursue the topic further. Format this in full MLA style. Each source here should have at least 4 or 5 sentences of annotation which describe its central argument and its various points or sections. These should be the best go-to sources for your topic, in case others want to pursue what you discuss for a paper.
