This calendar is prospective because it is the model we will follow, though it may change during the term as we decide on readings. All chapters refer to Wheelock's Latin (6th ed., rev.) unless otherwise stated. The first term you will have gained a familiarity with the paradigms, and grammatically goes up through the introduction of relative clauses. This term will also have some memorization this term, but much of the work concentrates on more complex grammatial constructions, especially the uses of the subjuntive. This will allow us to read selections which are much more interesting both literarily and grammatically.
We will meet three times per week, and you will need to put in an hour or so every day to do well in this course. The need for this regular work is inescapable.
Grades for this course will be posted to Blackboard.
