Derrick's Homepage : HDEL Homepage : HDEL Course Calendar Back to the English Department Homepage

This calendar is dynamic: it will be updated during the course of the term if necessary. This will not only include adding the names for presentations, but also changes to readings if necessary. If you have any question about what is due for a specific day, check here: even if I make a mistake and say something different from this calendar in class, this calendar is always right.

References to texts are by author, except to the Workbook, which is by exercise number. When we do exercises in class, they will usually be handed in by the next week to your folders--I'll tell you when. Millward provides the backbone to the course and will be a key reference text for you. When you read Crystal, read the main narrative, and dip into the peripheral boxes and exhibits as you like: he is especially helpful for illuminating cultural contexts and connections.
