There will be four papers due during the course of the term, including the final term paper. See the Course Calendar for due dates. The first three papers are steps towards the final project.

Paper 1 Assignment. 3(+) pages; here is the grading rubric. Due Oct. 1, in class.

Paper 2 Assignment. 3(+) pages; here is the grading rubric. Due Oct. 27th, in class (whether you have met with me or not).

Paper 3 Assignment. 3(+) pages. You have two options here: to work with an artifact, or an interview. Here is the grading rubric. Due Nov. 17th, in class.

Term Paper Assignment. 10 (+) pages. Here is the grading rubric. An 8-page draft is on Dec. 3rd, graded by these criteria, and a full (10-page) draft is due on Dec. 10th, graded by these criteria. The Final Project is due on Monday, Dec. 14th, by noon in my office. It is due at the top of your full, completed folder, which will contain everything on this form. Put the folder in my box, or hand it to me in my office if I'm there (please do not try to slide it under my door).

Paper Format: Format papers in MLA Style, in a professional font (11 or 12 point, Times New Roman), with 1" margins all the way around. MLA Style, which applies to both layout and documentation, is described in your writing handbook, and we have reviewed it in class. You might review this on how to Quote. Not following this style will adversely affect your grade. Page lengths are also important, since a goal of this course is to be able to manage an argument containing this much information; not following them will hurt your grade too.
